The description field NetSuite saved searches never had.

SuiteMemo lets you write a note on any saved search: why it exists, what uses it, who asked for it, and whether it is safe to change. The note shows up where you make those decisions: on the saved search list, the edit page and the results page. Everyone on your NetSuite account who has SuiteMemo sees the same note.

Coming soon to the Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons.

Free for 50 notes per NetSuite account, no sign-up. Unlimited is $29 a month per account, first month free.

Where your notes show up

SuiteMemo runs only on NetSuite's saved search pages. It does not change anything in your NetSuite account: no custom records, no scripts, no bundle to install.

The saved search list A one-line note sits under each search title. Hover or tab to a row and choose "Add note" to write one. This is where most of the value is: you can tell searches apart before you open them.
The edit page A notes panel appears under the page title when you open a search to change it, so the reason it exists is in front of you before you touch a filter.
The results page The same panel shows on the results page. SuiteMemo never reads the results themselves; it only needs the search's id from the page address.

What it does

One note per saved search

Plain text, up to 4,000 characters. Notes belong to the NetSuite account, so everyone on the account who has SuiteMemo sees the same note, and production and sandboxes share them. Notes follow the search's script ID, so they survive a sandbox refresh.

One running list, searchable

The SuiteMemo button in your browser toolbar lists every note on the account you are on and searches title and text. It follows NetSuite permissions: you only see notes on searches that appear in your saved search list. Admins see every note. Consultants can switch on consultant mode to see every account they work in.

Admin controls

Admins see who has SuiteMemo on the account, set each person to viewer or editor, and choose which NetSuite roles count as admin. Administrator counts by default. No seats to buy, no codes to hand out.

Note history

On Unlimited, every note keeps its history: who changed it and when, with a Restore button. Nothing you overwrite is lost.

Export any time

Download an account's notes as a JSON file whenever you want, on any plan. Import takes a SuiteMemo export or a two-column CSV (search ID or name, note).

Local-only mode

Turn it on in Settings and your notes never leave your computer. Sync is off, so nobody else on the account sees them.

How the Free plan works

  • Install it and it works. No account, no email, no card. Free gives each NetSuite account 50 notes, shared by everyone on the account.
  • At 50 notes, reading and editing still work. Adding a new note needs Unlimited.
  • Unlimited is $29 a month or $290 a year per account. The first month is free: an admin signs in with their email, puts a card on file at Stripe, and nothing is charged for 30 days. Cancel any time in the billing portal.
  • If a subscription ends and the account has more than 50 notes, every note stays, readable and exportable. Editing and new notes wait until the account is under 50 or back on Unlimited.
  • Nothing is ever deleted by a plan change.

What we store, and what we never touch

What SuiteMemo stores

  • The note text you write.
  • The saved search's script ID, numeric id, title and record type, so the note stays on the right search.
  • Your NetSuite account number (the part of the address before .app.netsuite.com) and whether it is production or a sandbox.
  • From the NetSuite page: your NetSuite user id, name, email and role, so notes can say who edited them and admins can be recognised.
  • A random install id and the extension version.
  • Your email address, only if you sign in to pay.

What it never touches

  • Saved search results.
  • Any NetSuite record data.
  • Your NetSuite password, login or cookies.
  • Any page other than NetSuite's saved search pages.
  • Your browsing history. No analytics, no ads, no trackers.

Where it lives

Notes belong to the NetSuite account and sync to our database (Neon Postgres, AWS us-east-2, Ohio, USA), served by our API on Render (Ohio, USA), once you press Continue on the first-run screen. No sign-in is needed for that. Local-only mode keeps notes on your computer instead. Connections use HTTPS, and the database is encrypted at rest by our provider.

Deleting it

Deleting a note removes it for everyone on the account. "Delete my sign-in" in SuiteMemo's Settings removes your email and your link as the payer; notes belong to the account and stay. Uninstalling removes everything SuiteMemo kept in your browser.
